Essential Knowledge

Walk The Yorke Trail

Stretching along the Yorke Peninsula, the Walk the Yorke trail follows more than 500 kilometres of spectacular coastline, linking beaches, clifftops, coastal towns and some of the region’s most remote landscapes.

The trail includes everything from short coastal walks to longer, more challenging sections, with conditions varying between sand, rocky coastline, exposed headlands and bush tracks. Good footwear, plenty of water, sun protection and some forward planning are essential.

Before setting out, check the weather, distance, terrain and access points, and remember that mobile coverage and services can be limited in remote areas. With the right preparation, Walk the Yorke is an incredible way to experience the wild coastline and natural beauty of Southern Yorke Peninsula.
