Advanced Surf Camps

The advanced surf camp is a weekend-long barrel filled program. The aim of this program is to develop the groms surfing with legendary local SA coaches and high tech footage analysis! They will also learn about the local area and some of the best secret surf spots! Based at the Corny Point Caravan Park Yeww!

Surfing Requirements

While this camp's focus is on improving surf skills we do have some surf related requirements that need to be met. This ensures that the camp isn't too challenging for any one individual.

- Must be aged between 10 - 17

- Being able to paddle out the back in average-sized swells.

- Knowledge of and relative comfort in/around rips.

- Ability to ride unbroken/green waves with little assistance.

What To Bring

  • A 64GB USB/SD Card in an addressed envelope with stamps - You receive all the groms footage which is why we require such a large USB.

  • Phone 'Keep in mind that service may be limited' 

  • 1 casserole, curry, lasagne to share (1 per family)

  •  Pillowcase, bottom sheet, sleeping bag, towel and toiletries

  • Medications if required

  • Surfboards and wetsuits

  • Children will be sharing the unit accommodation

Day 1

Friday

  • 7.30pm – Meet and greet around the bonfire

  • 8.00pm – Dinner (every grom needs to bring a casserole, curry, lasagna etc to share)​

Day 2

Saturday

  • 7:00am – Breakfast, making lunch (supplied by Neptunes, prepared by groms) 

  • 8.00am - Briefing with coaches

  • 9.00am - Surfing session

  • 12:00pm – Lunch 

  • 1.00pm – Surfing session

  • 5.00pm - Video analysis

  • 6.00pm – Dinner (shared casseroles supplied by parents)

Day 3

Sunday

  • 7:00am – Breakfast and pack up of units

  • 8:00am - Surfing session

  • 11:30am - Video analysis and camp wrap up

  • 12:00pm - Lunch

  • 1.30pm – Head home

New Format

Due to the increase of interest in our advanced camps, we have decided to book a total of 4 camps over the year. We have also limited each camp to a total of 16 participants.

The camps are now split into 2 distinct age groups.

10-14 & 15-17. 

When booking for your child please check that they are in the correct group.

Parent Supervisors

We require 3/4 parents to stay in the deluxe cabin and be the supervisors for each camp. Accommodation at the deluxe cabin is at no cost to these parents. To drop your hat in the bucket please mention your intent to supervise using the email below.

The role of these parent supervisors is to help with transportation to surf breaks and to be supervisors while they are in the Caravan Park.

Food

We provide breakfast, lunch and snacks for all children including a plentiful amount of fruit, bars and cake. The kids are expected to cook their own meals and clean up after themselves with minimal assistance from parent supervisors.

If you choose to pack snacks for your child please try to keep the sugar to a minimum to help us avoid the dreaded sugar rush...

 

Please remember you MUST send your child with 1 casserole, curry, or lasagne to share (1 per family).

If you plan to stay at Corny Point Caravan Park and arent one of our 3/4 designated parent supervisors you will need to provide your own food.

Refund Policy

A refund is only available if advised that a participant cannot attend the respective event 14 days prior and a valid doctor’s certificate is provided. A refund will be given minus a $10 administration fee.

COVID-19 Refund Policy
In the case that an event is cancelled or rescheduled due to the organisers acting on local, regional, state or national health regulations or official advice, the refund policy will be as follows:

  • Event reschedule - participants will maintain their inclusion in the event. If the participant cannot attend the event on the new proposed date then a refund will be offered, with $10 administration fee retained by organisers.

  • Event cancellation - participants will be offered a 100% refund
